Programming the Commodore PET

What? This site is an attempt to capture what it was like to program the Commodore PET back in the late 70s and early 80s. It contains tape images that can be used to run our old software on an emulator, screenshots, and source code listings.

Why? Because the longer we wait, the more the tapes age, and the harder it is to remember. The site name is the hex address of the second tape buffer, a convenient location for small machine language programs.

How? A boom-box, a PC with a sound card, and the Tape64 utility were used to create tape images from our old tapes. A Squeak program generated this website from these tape images.
